ILA10 - Induction Loop Amplifier

The ILA10 (Induction Loop Amplifier) is designed to drive small and medium-sized induction loops to convey clear, strong audio to wearers of hearing aids and cochlear implants. It is suitable for use at counters, in vehicles and in meeting rooms.

The ILA10’s advanced digital signal processing ensures consistent signal quality in spite of variations in the audio source. It automatically adjusts its gain to maintain a strong output across a wide range of source amplitude and adapts to sudden signal transients without distortion. The ILA10’s class D amplification provides optimal efficiency and minimal heat dissipation.

Its wide output voltage swing of over ±18 volts provides clean audio for challenging sound sources. It can be configured before installation for a range of different load impedances.

The ILA10 provides one microphone and two linelevel inputs with independent sensitivity controls to attenuate strong sources. The microphone input can supply power to electret microphones with two- or three-conductor miniature phone plugs. The ILA10’s signal processor allows it to deliver a consistently strong signal to a listener as the speaker moves rapidly to and from the microphone. The line-level inputs accept balanced or unbalanced sources from consumer or professional equipment and also adjust to variations in input amplitude.

The ILA10 is typically operated from a 24V AC/DC adapter, but may also be powered by 12V sources in vehicles and vessels. Typical power consumption is under 2 W (for a 0.4Ω load), but the ILA10 is capable of delivering up to 100 W (to a 2Ω load).
